Maulana Kalbe Jawwad slams Modi government after being detained at Delhi airport

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Noted Indian Shi'ite cleric, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for stopping a six-member humanitarian delegation, which was headed to war-torn Iraq ravaged by the Islamic state (IS) militants, for rehabilitation and relief work. Jawwad, who was heading the delegation, is the general secretary of one India's leading Islamic Organisation, Jamiat-Ulema-I-Hind. He and the preparatory delegation were detained at international airport in New Delhi on Sunday after a Look out circular (LOC) letter by Intelligence Bureau officials was shown to them. Hitting at the BJP government, he said LOC is shown to the untraceable criminals, not to those with no criminal backgrounds, heading for a noble cause. Las Vegas, Nov 22 (ANI): A day after unveiling plans for immigration reform, United States President Barack Obama signed the executive order designed to bring about those changes at a high school in Nevada. Obama said that he will not give up on the reforms and will do whatever to make the senates pass the bill on the same. This is the president's most extensive use of executive power in a year in which they have become his signature way of working around congressional gridlock. The order eases the threat of deportation for some 4.7 million undocumented immigrants. While speaking in Nevada, President Obama said that the nation has lost more than a year not passing the bill on immigrants which leads families to part and business entrepreneurs to leave which US can no longer afford. Meanwhile, he also announced about the temporary relief to the immigrants in US, a nation which goes with principle of fairness and democracy and justice to all irrespective of their background and nationality. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar calls for peace in Iraq

Erbil, Nov 21 (ANI): Addressing a peace conference in Erbil city, Indian spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar called for peace in Iraq and said communication needs to be established with those who are misguided in the name of religion. Ravi Shankar on Wednesday stepped up relief work for Yazidi refugees trapped in Erbil town of northern Iraq, following an insurgency by Islamic State militants. The International Association for Human Values (IAHV), a sister concern of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's 'Art of Living,' has teamed up with local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Iraq for relief operations. Ravi Shankar said those misguided by religion need to be educated. Ravi Shankar said India, too, had been under attack by aggressors but its faith in non-violence has remained intact. The International Association for Human Values (IAHV), a sister concern of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's The Art of Living has teamed up with local non-governmental organisations (NGO) in Iraq for relief operations. Shankar raised concern about conflicts among different communities in Iraq and emphasised on ways to build trust among them.
