PM Modi releases coins to honour Tata conglomerate founder

New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, paid tribute to Tata conglomerate founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, by releasing commemorative coins on him. Modi launched the commemorative coins to mark 175th birth anniversary of Jamsetji, who now becomes the first industrialist to be honoured by the government in such a manner. The Tata group was founded as a textile business in 1868 by Ratan Tata's great-grandfather Jamsetji Tata. His older son expanded into steel, insurance and the production of soaps and cooking oil.
