AP Governor ESL Narasimhan to hold charge during Presidents rule in state

Hyderabad, March 03 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan said that the state which has now come under the President’s rule may be supervised by him as per the direction of President Pranab Mukherjee. He said the President has taken charge of the state with the intention of creating a congenial and conducive atmosphere for stable administration. The central government had recommended the imposition of President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh on Friday. On Saturday, Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2014 and also approved cabinet’s recommendation. Andhra Pradesh came under the control of President following the resignation of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy earlier in February, protesting the bifurcation of the state. Mar 3, 2014

Cabinet approves President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): The Union Cabinet on Friday decided to impose President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh, which is being split to create the new state of Telangana. The state has been without a chief minister after N. Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned from the post and the Congress Party to protest against the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2013, which paved the way for the creation of the new state of Telangana. Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan had recommended for a spell of central rule after Reddy's resignation. The assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are due along with the Lok Sabha elections. Centre Likely to Delay Appointment of New CM to AP

Appointment of a new chief minster to Andhra Pradesh is speculated to be delayed as the 16 Lok Sabha elections are nearing. The current 15th Lok Sabha will complete its term on 31 May 2014. Andhra Pradesh bifurcation against democracy: Jagan Mohan Reddy

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Reacting on the process of bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the whole process was against democracy and the democracy was killed in the broad day light in the Parliament.
