Congress delegation meets Delhi Chief Secretary over power crisis issue

New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): A Congress delegation on Monday met Chief Secretary of Delhi, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava over the issue of power crisis in the national capital. The Delhi Congress leaders later gheraoed the Chief Secretary as the government has surrendered on the issue and had failed to find a solution in the matter. Congress has also said that they would gherao the residences of the seven BJP MPs in the national capital unless the crisis in the power and water supply situation in the city was resolved soon. Earlier, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had ordered strioct measures to tackle the situation and had said that power supply to malls in Delhi will be stopped after 10 PM. Jun 9, 2014

Youth in Tripura make use of bamboo to be self-employed

Tripura, June 07 (ANI): A group of unemployed youth launched Bamboo Enterprises United (BENU), a handicraft workshop and community facility centre, in Katlamara village in 2004. The aim was to be self employed by utilising the locally available Kanakaich variety of bamboo. The village was once a hotbed for militants and lacked proper employment and business opportunities for the youth. These young entrepreneurs provided training to rural artisans to create various bamboo items, including furniture More than 100 people are currently engaged with the project and supply bamboo products in the country and abroad. New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): Based on post-mortem report of Late Gopinath Munde, Health Minister Harshvardhan said Munde had died because of cervical spine fracture and injuries in liver on Tuesday following a car accident. He said that the fracture of his cervical spine C1 and C2 cut off blood supply to his brain stem, which led to failures of his respiratory and cardiac centres.
