Denmark tops the world’s happiest countries list

Denmark overtook Switzerland as the happiest place, according to a report on 16 March, and urged nations regardless of wealth to tackle inequality, protect the environment and keep their countrys social fabric from tearing apart. The 65-page report, prepared by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Earth Institute at Columbia University, showed that Syria, Afghanistan and eight sub-Saharan countries were rated the 10 least happy places on earth to live. Ted Cruz reaches out to Marco Rubio supporters as Republican race narrows

The Republican presidential race narrowed to three candidates: businessman Donald Trump, US Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich after Marco Rubio suspended his campaign on 15 March.
