Dhaka, March 08 (ANI): Bangladesh activist and eminent filmmaker, Tanvir Mokammel pinned hope on speedy trial of Pakistani war criminals, accused of genocide during 1971 liberation war, who were released under Simla Agreement in 1972. While talking to the reporter in Dhaka, Mokammel called the Pakistani war criminals as perverted individuals, as they were involved in perpetrating the killings, rape and arson.Unrest erupted in January 2013 when the tribunal sentenced to death in absentia a leader of Jamaat. Thousands took to the streets in February demanding the execution of another Jamaat leader after he was jailed for life on similar charges. Dhaka, Mar 1 (ANI): One of Bangladesh's leading lawyers, Barrister Tureen Afroz recently hailed the country’s Law Minister Shafique Ahmed’s demand for conducting a speedy trial of Pakistani war criminals, accused of committing genocide during the 1971 liberation struggle. The Law Minister had hinted that 195 war criminals, who were handed over to Pakistan by Shimla Agreement -- tripartite treaty between India, Pakistan and Bangladesh – be brought to justice. Afroz said amnesty cannot be granted to war criminals under the Vienna convention, adding that international treaty is not binding on Bangladesh legal system unless approved by the parliament. Pakistan air force to provide training to Iraqi air force

Islamabad, Feb 11 (ANI): Commander of the Iraqi Air Force, Lt. General Anwer Hamad Ameen Ahmed, who is on a visit to Pakistan with a nine-member delegation, met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. A statement issued from the Prime Minister’s office said, during the meeting with Sharif, two agreements were signed between PAF and the Iraqi air force. According to the first agreement, PAF will provide training to Iraq Air Defence Force personnel in all spheres of modern Air Force concepts pertaining to special Air Defence and Air Crew.
