Pranab Mukherjee hopes for strengthened ties with Norway on his three-day visit

Oslo, Oct 14 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee said that India is keen to expand scope of relationship with Norway. He was invited by King Harald Vth and Queen Sonja, at a gala dinner at the Royal Palace at Oslo after he was given a ceremonial guard of honour earlier in the day. Mukherjee arrived in Norway's capital Oslo on Sunday and was received by Mayor Harald Espelund of Ullensaker. He is the first ever Indian head of state to visit Norway who is expected to reach an agreement on nuclear safety measures and other fields like education, trade and earth science. He also invited investors and entrepreneurs to invest in India. Meanwhile, King Harald Vth congratulated India's children rights crusader Kailash Satyarthi for winning the Nobel Peace Prize along with Pakistan's teenage education activist, Malala Yousafzai. Mukherjee is on a three-day visit to Norway and the main focus of his three-day visit is to attract investment in infrastructure and other areas. Bangalore, Oct 10 (ANI): Infosys Ltd wants to revive growth through automation and artificial intelligence, its chief executive said on Friday (October 10), boosting investors' confidence in Bangalore after it posted a forecast-beating quarterly profit. Chief Executive Vishal Sikka was brought in earlier this year to chart a new strategy for Infosys. Sikka said Infosys' future now lay in new technologies, and that it would look into acquisitions to expand into those areas. Sikka also added that the firm expects revenue in the fiscal year ending in March 2015 to rise 7-9 percent, maintaining the guidance it had given in July and meeting expectations of most analysts. Three-day long Global Investors Summit kick starts in Indore

Indore, Oct 08 (ANI): Barely weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his 'Make in India' initiative, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated a three-day Global Investors Summit on Wednesday, inviting business leaders from across the world to invest in the state. More than 4,000 delegates from across the world are expected to attend the summit in Indore. The summit will also be host to 190 guests of honour and 28 state guests including ambassadors and country representatives. Addressing the gathering, Chouhan said through the summit he wants Madhya Pradesh to make an international mark.Day one was dedicated to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the state. Chouhan also declared that the state would establish a ministry exclusively for small enterprises. A venture fund will also be established to give financial help to innovators to set up businesses.
