New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): India’s Law & Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday, during a meeting of BJP's Legal Cell, attacked the parties which lost against BJP in the recent Lok Sabha Polls. Prasad attacked AAP saying that the party which had dreamt of coming to power with majority is left with very few seats. He then attacked JD (U) saying that it could not stand before BJP in Bihar. Reactions come in as BJP issues whip to its MPs to support TRAI Bill in LS

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): The TRAI Amendment Act to be presented in Lok Sabha has invited political reactions. After reports of Congress opposing the bill in Parliament, BJP had issued a whip to all its MPs to be present when the government will present the bill. Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the bill is being presented on the basis of merit and hoped that it would be passed in both houses. BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that it was an amendment which needed to be modified every six months and added that the government needed to change laws. Meanwhile CPI leader D Raja said that an ordinance needs to be replaced by the legislation. The bill has been tabled in the Lok Sabha. Jul 11, 2014

Legendary actress Zohra Sehgal dies at 102

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Legendary actress Zohra Sehgal, who essayed character roles with aplomb in a career spanning both theatre and cinema, died on Thursday at the age of 102. A Padma Vibhushan awardee, Sehgal breathed her last at Max hospital in Delhi around 4:30pm. Sehgal, unwell for last three-four days, died of cardiac arrest. The veteran actress would be cremated today at 11am at the Lodhi Road crematorium. The news came to light by historian Irfan Habib who tweeted, "Just confirmed that Zohra Aapa is no more..." Sehgal started her career as a dancer with Uday Shankar in 1935. She had appeared in many Bollywood films as a character actor as well as in English language films besides television series and plays. Jul 11, 2014
