New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): An advocate of Supreme Court on Thursday said that the Shiv Sena leader, who force-fed a fasting Muslim, is liable to face legal action under Indian Penal Code (IPC) for hurting religious sentiments. Shiv Sena leader Rajan Vichare was caught on a video trying to force-feed a Muslim caterer, Arshad Zubair, when the food served in Maharashtra Sadan was not up to his standards. Meanwhile, Former SP leader Shahid Siddiqui slammed the state government of Maharashtra which has said it will respond on this issue after ascertaining full facts. Shiv Sena MP clarifies Maharashtra Sadan incident

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare clarified the controversial incident that took place in Maharashtra Sadan on Wednesday morning. Vichare said that the leaders were unaware that the waiter was a Muslim and they just wanted him to know that the food was not edible. He added that the issue should not be raised from a communal angle because there was no such intention behind the act. Khuldabad, July 22 (ANI): Traditional vermicelli makers worked extra hours in Maharashtra to meet demands of Muslims as Eid-al- Fitr is nearing, which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan. Muslims in India prepare special delicacies made of Vermicelli to serve guests on Eid. In old city of Khuldabad, women workers indulged in making traditional handmade vermicelli. A worker, Kaisaruddin, said Vermicelli making is one of the oldest and traditional works of Khuldabad, which is mainly practiced by women. Sweet vermicelli is a traditional Muslim dish which is eaten during the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth of 12 months in the Islamic calendar.
