BJP Spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said that BJP is not involved in such programmes and distanced the party from the same. He also said that the central government had proposed a law against the same which still remains pending. The Delhi Police on Tuesday confirmed that Pushkar was murdered by poisoning. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao welcomed the same and hoped that Delhi Police will further the investigation and brought the culprit to the book. NCP leader Majid Memon said that this took a very long time and thus the investigation and evidences may have been hampered by now. Congress and BJP react as Delhi Police says Sunanda Pushkar was murdered

New Delhi, Jan 06 (ANI): Congress and BJP on Tuesday react as Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi confirmed that Sunanda Pushkar was murdered. A case of murder under Section 302 of IPC has been registered against unknown people. Bassi said that it is not a case of natural death and that medical report states that she was poisoned. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the police should carry on a fair investigation in the case and also questioned on such a delay in filing the FIR in the case. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that there is nothing to politicize the issue and said that Delhi police will see that the accused are brought to book. Air Marshal Reddy said India has to be prepared for war on both Chinese and Pakistani fronts. Meanwhile, over 25,000 inmates of relief camps on Saturday left for their homes in violence-affected districts. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao blamed the Assam government for not taking any action in the case and said that the incident was avoidable if the government had taken proper actions.
