Markets in cities wear a festive look with sparkling lights and enthusiastic crowds rushing for last minute shopping. Eid shopping has gained momentum in the last week of Ramadan and shoppers throng to markets after Iftar and shop till late night. The markets remain open until sehr (pre-dawn time to begin fast). Dhaka, July 27 (ANI): Enthusiastic Bangladeshi Muslim women participated in Henna festival and artistically applied it on their hands in various traditional floral patterns as Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching. Maharashtra, July 25(ANI): Traditional vermicelli makers worked extra hours in Maharashtra to meet demands of Muslims as Eid-al- Fitr is nearing, which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan. Muslims in India prepare special delicacies made of Vermicelli to serve guests on Eid. In old city of Khuldabad, women workers indulged in making traditional handmade vermicelli. A worker, Kaisaruddin, said Vermicelli making is one of the oldest and traditional works of Khuldabad, which is mainly practiced by women. Sweet vermicelli is a traditional Muslim dish which is eaten during the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth of 12 months in the Islamic calendar.
