Hyderabad, March 03 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan said that the state which has now come under the President’s rule may be supervised by him as per the direction of President Pranab Mukherjee. He said the President has taken charge of the state with the intention of creating a congenial and conducive atmosphere for stable administration. The central government had recommended the imposition of President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh on Friday. On Saturday, Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2014 and also approved cabinet’s recommendation. Cabinet approves President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): The Union Cabinet on Friday decided to impose President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh, which is being split to create the new state of Telangana. The state has been without a chief minister after N. Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned from the post and the Congress Party to protest against the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2013, which paved the way for the creation of the new state of Telangana.
