Textile business sees a drop in Surat

Surat, Dec 7 (ANI): The textile industry in Gujarat saw 30 percent less sales in comparison to the previous year even though it is the season of big fat Indian weddings.The month of December is one of the busiest months for the industry, with Christmas round the corner and the wedding season at its peak, but this year the shopowners in Surat's Textile Market are sitting idle. A textile businessman, Kailash Agarwal, said the retail and wholesale textile busines fared badly this season. Agarwal said that he could not pinpoint the exact cause of the slump. Dec 7, 2014
