London Marathon once again provides perfect proposal setting

The 2017 London Marathon on 23 April was the scene of multiple displays of kindness and love, including not one, but two marriage proposals. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust recorded and shared this video of Jon Higgins pausing at the 24-mile mark of the marathon to propose to his girlfriend Amy, who responded with a very emotional “yes”.Higgins was running to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. CCTV shows woman left paralysed after car drives onto pavement

CCTV footage has been released showing the moment a woman was left paralysed after a car drove onto the pavement. The video, released by the Metropolitan Police, captures the incident which happened on the 29 May in Norwood, London.The woman who was paralysed was 30-year-old Chanelle Higgins. According to to the police appeal, Higgins was paralysed from the waist down and is confined to a wheelchair.The police said that on 16 June a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
