Varanasi, Sept 22 (ANI): Situated on the banks of the river Ganga, Varanasi, located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh is famous for its Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb – a culture of harmony between different faiths - that is religiously upheld by its residents. One such instance where this age old ethos came into existence was in school, where children belonging to Muslim community participated in a cultural event dedicated to Hindu festival. The school, Unique Academy, believes in communal harmony and thus to bring this upbringing of India's ethos among children, it keeps on organising such events. BJP MLA clarifies controversial statement on banning Muslims in garba

Indore, Sep 20 (ANI): BJP MLA Usha Thakur on Saturday clarified her controversial statement on banning Muslims from entering 'Garba' venues. Thakur said that her statements have been misinterpreted by media and clarified that she had respected the culture of Muslim minority community in terms of praying the Lord which they do not believe in. She added that our National Anthem was reduced to 2 stanzas from 5 showing respect to the Muslims community as they do not believe in Lord Durga so how can they be doing 'Garba' paying respect to the lord. Reactions flow in as PM says Indian Muslims will live and die for the country

Lucknow/New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): Reactions flowed on Friday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Indian Muslims will live for India and die for India. He also said that no Indian Muslim will cause any harm to the nation. Commenting on Modi's statement SP leader Naresh Agarwal said that it's good that PM has understood this and now he should make his party leaders understand that Muslims carry pure intentions and should not be targeted. Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Syed Ahmad Bukhari, slamming Modi for his statement, said that Indian Muslims have always been loyal to the country and they do not require any certificate from anyone.
