New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will be presenting the Railway Budget for 2015-16 in the Parliament on Thursday. Prabhu may lay the roadmap for attracting private investment in railways in a bid to raise more funds for project completions and infrastructure expansion. This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government's first railway budget. Modi’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ initiatives may also be given prime importance. Farmers hopeful for more funds, adequate security to crops in Budget 2015-2016

Rajouri, Feb 25 (ANI): Indian farmers are pinning hopes on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley when he presents the central budget for 2015-2016. They want more allocation of funds, adequate insurance to their crops, mainly dependent on the vagaries of unpredictable climate. India is primarily an agrarian economy with about 70 percent of the population working in fields. Farmers in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir say the successive governments have taken some policy decisions to improve the farm output, but the benefits have failed to trickle down at the lower level. Area Development Officer (Vegetable) in Rajouri, Sadaqat Hussain who has been working with the farmers to help improve their output and sharing government initiatives with them rules the fact that the government policies have not yielded much.
