Bangladesh celebrates its 42nd Independence Day

Dhaka/Kolkata, Dec 17 (ANI): Bangladesh celebrated its 42nd independence day, after liberation war of 1971 with Pakistan. Thousands of Bangladeshis gathered at Dhaka’s a national memorial Suhrawardy Udyan, to celebrate the victory day organised by the Freedom fighters and members of the Gonojagoron Mancha or activists of People's Resurgence Platform. Former Advisor of the caretaker government, Sultana Kamal expressed her elation saying that the most important achievement for the people was that they breathe in a free country. India also commemorated the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Bangladesh liberation war of 1971 and pledged to protect every inch of Indian land and territory. Dec 17, 2013
