Minor rape case: Karnataka CM orders action against school management

Bangalore, Oct 23 (ANI): Taking serious note of the recent incident of sexual abuse of a three-year-old student in Bangalore, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed police officials to initiate prompt action against the school management. The girl was subjected to medical tests on Tuesday before being admitted to a private hospital. Bangalore Police had earlier on Thursday detained a suspect and filed a criminal complaint against the school. This incident of sexual abuse, which saw protests by angry parents, occurred barely three months after a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two gym instructors inside the premises of another private school in Bangalore on July 3. Five people injured in massive fire in Faridabad

Faridabad, Oct 22 (ANI): At least five people were injured when massive fire broke out in a crackers market, gutting more than 150 shops in Faridabad. At least 10 vehicles were burnt in the inferno. Loud explosions were heard for about 15 minutes at the ground, where the cracker market is organized every year during Diwali. Angry victims blamed the police administration for the accident and sought compensation for their damages. Oct 22, 2014
