Prices of sacrificial animals go up every year ahead of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated on Monday across the country. Livestock prices have shoot up in Bijnor city and Patna city. Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a Muslim festival which commemorates the obedience of the prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son when ordered to by God.
