New Delhi, June 06 (ANI): Minister for water resources and river development, Uma Bharti, along with minister for rural development, panchayati raj and sanitation, Nitin Gadkari, on Friday stressed upon the future course of action that they are planning to undertake for the cleaning of holy river Ganga. Bharti said her focus is to establish a model for quick and effective action to save the river Ganga that could also be implemented on other rivers that need to be revived. New Delhi, June 05 (ANI): Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday highlighted the safety measures to be taken in order to stop road accidents. Gadkari stated that roads are quite prone to accidents in our country due to various reasons like plantation growth, curved roads etc. He gave a few acts to be implemented by the government to keep a check on traffic violators and said that irrespective of the person’s office, violators will be punished strictly. New Delhi, June 04 (ANI): The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed that Union Road Transport, Highways and Shipping minister Nitin Gadkari has been entrusted with additional charge of the ministries of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation. Gadkari has been asked to handle portfolios held by Gopinath Munde who had tragically died due to a car crash. Gopinath Munde's body placed at BJP headquarters for last respect

New Delhi, June 3 (ANI): Gopinath Munde's mortal remains have been placed at BJP headquarters where party leaders are paying their last respect. Nitin Gadkari received Munde's family at the IGI airport in Delhi. Senior leaders have already reached the headquarters to pay their tributes to Munde. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to pay his tribute to Munde this afternoon. Munde's body will be airlifted to Mumbai and taken to his Worli residence, later today. The last rites of the late Rural Development Minister will be performed on Wednesday. Munde tragically passed away on Tuesday morning after meeting with an accident in Delhi's Prithviraj-Tughlak Road at around 6:30 am. Munde was rushed to the Safdarjung Hospital and was later shifted to the AIIMS trauma centre where he was declared dead. Jun 3, 2014
