New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): American actor Leonard Nimoy has been hospitalized after he suffered severe chest pains, it has been revealed. According to a leading online portal, the 'Star Trek' star was transported to UCLA Medical Center last week. Sources said that paramedics weren't taking chances with the 83-year-old actor and, therefore, they got him in front of a doctor at the earliest. Acid attack perpetrators to be jailed for ten years, says Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that the government will punish acid attack perpetrators with ten years imprisonment. Singh said the acid attack victims faced the worst mental and physical repercussions of the attack. He added that two new sections have been added to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 2013 to classify the crime as "heinous". Veteran CPI leader Govind Pansare passes away

Mumbai, Feb 21 (ANI): Veteran Communist leader Govind Pansare (84) who was shot last Monday in Kolhapur died at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. Pansare who had suffered a head injury succumbed to his illness shortly around midnight. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis reached Breach Candy hospital. Govind Pansare was flown to Mumbai from Kolhapur where he was being treated at a private hospital on Friday in air ambulance. The mortal remains of the CPI leader are brought to the airport following his demise and will be flown top Kolhapur for last rites. Former Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil dies after prolonged illness

Mumbai, Feb 16 (ANI): Former Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil, who was suffering from oral cancer, passed away at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Monday. Earlier today, Dr Sanjay Ogeymoghe, who was monitoring his treatment at the hospital, had said that Patil was on life support system and his condition was "critical but stable". Patil had been undergoing treatment at the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra for oral cancer. Patil, who also served as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, was operated upon last December at Breach Candy Hospital. The 57-year-old Patil was shifted to the ICU in January and was on ventilator support for a long time. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and former Deputy CM Ajit Pawar later visited Lilavati Hospital after the news broke. Feb 16, 2015
