Madonna considers herself 'freedom fighter' for Russian gay rights

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): Madonna has revealed that she considers herself a "freedom fighter" for Russian gay rights. The 55-year-old American singer-songwriter allied herself with Russian feminist group Pussy Riot by joining them on stage at Amnesty International Concert and extended her support to the gay community in Russia. The ' Hung Up ' singer added that she was targeted with death threats for defying Russia's controversial anti-gay laws and was threatened to be jailed if she promoted 'gay behaviour' during her performance.
