New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): The Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Association has shot off a letter to Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks that an ordinary income tax inspector makes Rs 1 crore a year and that he could also have earned crores of rupees as income-tax commissioner had he not resigned to embrace social work. The letter also says that such utterances were unnecessarily damaging the image of the fine service. The Association also refuted Kejriwal's claims that he worked as a commissioner of income tax, saying his batch has still not been promoted to that rank. Meanwhile, reacting over this Kejriwal said that this is also a conspiracy against him and he thinks the letter was sent to him on the directions of the Congress party. Nov 23, 2013

New Delhi, Oct 31(ANI): In a bold move, Karnataka government has launched a scheme that from November 1, Muslim brides from families with annual income less than Rs 1.5 lakh can claim financial support of Rs 50,000 either in cash, gold or house hold articles from the state government. Reacting to this BJP leader Kirti Azad said that everyone who need help should get privilege when it comes to financial and social help and vote bank politics should not be done with it. The project launched by the Department of Minority Welfare will give the bride a voice and set aside an initial sum of Rs 10 crore with the aim of supporting atleast 2,000 marriages by the end of this financial year. New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): In a major relief to Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, the CBI on Friday closed its investigation into a corruption case against him citing lack of evidence. This comes two months after a CBI officer recommended closing the six-year-old investigation into whether the SP chief and his son, Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had accumulated wealth beyond their known sources of income.
