Hyderabad, Oct 24 (ANI): Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy on Friday said that the SIMI suspects have been send to judicial remand on the basis of evidence. He added that based on evidence further actions will be taken. Telagnana Police had arrested the two terror suspects from Mumbai while on their way to Afghanistan for terror training. Hyderabad, Oct 16 (ANI): Ten-year-old terminally ill Sadiq always wanted to catch thieves and uphold the rule of law and his dream came true when Hyderabad Police Commisisoner Mahender Reddy handed over his position to him for a day. Sadiq dreamt of sitting on the Police Commissioner’s chair at his desk, sign important files, and give instructions to the orderlies. Clad in a khadi colour uniform and a cap, Sadiq beamed up with joy. Sadiq, who hails from Karimnagar, is suffering from blood cancer and wanted to be police commissioner. His last wish was fulfilled by the help of an NGO, ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ that decided to fulfill Sadiq’s dream on humanitarian ground. Oct 16, 2014

Operations on to rescue four year old who fell in borewell in Telangana

Telangana, Oct 14 (ANI): Rescue operations are underway on Tuesday to rescue a four year old girl who fell into a borewell in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district two days back. The incident occurred Sunday morning on the outskirts of Manchala village when the girl accidentally fell inside the open borewell at an agricultural field while playing when her grandparents were working in the field. Police and revenue officials, besides teams of NDRF, fire, geologists, and a coal mining company are involved in the rescue operations. The borewell is nearly 300-feet deep, officials say.
