Pakistan Rakes Kashmir to Divert Attention from Internal Turmoil

Muzaffarabad, PoK, November 4th, 2014: Pakistan is facing an existential crisis in its Administration and Rule of the region under its de facto control, but rather than exercising introspection and correcting its ways, the Central Government in Islamabad is playing the age old diversionary tactics of divide and rule. Pakistan and its Government in Islamabad is once again ranting about Kashmir for the Muslim Majority Kashmiris, notwithstanding its misrule in PoK for many decades now, and diverting its youth away from gainful employment, and towards Militancy and Terrorism. It has once again raked the Kashmir issue with the United Nations, formally objecting to the recently announced State Assembly Elections in the State of Jammu and Kashmir in India, which is a clear indication and witness to the flourishing democratic process, and Rule of Law in India, and registered a large voter turnout. As part of its ongoing tactics, the Government in Islamabad is under immense pressure to divert its electorates, especially POK's attention away from internal civil turmoil, plummeting economy and terrorist-based violence, rising civil unrest in PoK, denial of equal rights and opportunities, muzzling of freedom of speech and expression, by raking up the issue of Kashmir. Bhopal/ Bhiwandi, Nov 4 (ANI): Shi'ite Muslims in India beat their chests and walked on burning coals during Ashoura processions on Tuesday to pay homage to martyrdom of Imam Hussein, grandson of Prophet Mohammed. In Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh, Muslim devotees thumped their chests, to mark the mourning day of Ashoura, one of the most important days in their calendar. Curfew imposed in Srinagar ahead of Muharram

Srinagar, Nov 4 (ANI): Even as a complete shutdown is being observed in several parts of the Kashmir valley, Muharram processions would be taken out amid tight security in the state on Tuesday. Security personnel are manning the streets in Srinagar and shops and businesses have been shut down. More than 6,000 police personnel and several drones with live satellite feed would patrol and guard the city so that mourners can observe the Muharram peacefully. The processions would be taken out amid water-tight security, as Shi'ite Muslim mourners indulge in self flagellation, to commemorate the death of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad.
