Three day Indo Bangladesh secretary level talks in Dhaka on cross border crime

Dhaka, Sep 3 (ANI): A team of Indian delegates led by Home Secretary, Anil Goswami, headed to Dhaka to attend the 15th Bangladesh-India Home Secretary-level talks on cross-border crimes and border management. Senior Secretary of Home Ministry, Mozammel Haque Khan, led the Bangladesh delegation. The two countries are expected to discuss issues on border crimes, border management, land boundary agreement, counter-terror initiatives and reopening of immigration points, besides reviewing progress and implementation of existing protocols and agreements. A Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral co-operation for prevention of human trafficking and rescue and rehabilitation of victims is most likely to be signed. Simdega, Sep 02 (ANI): Two hardcore Maoists were killed and three others injured in an encounter with the police in Simdega district forest of Jharkhand. Police recovered seven rifles, one revolver, one pistol, one country-made gun and cartridges from the spot. Pulwama, Sep 02 (ANI): An encounter broke out between Indian security force and militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The security force had launched a massive operation in the area to nab three militants reportedly hiding in a village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Monday night. The militants hiding in the village area opened fire at soldiers, leading to gunbattle. Militants have been frequently attacking security bases in Kashmir since the 1990s, when there was a full-blown insurgency against Indian rule in a region over which India and Pakistan fought two of their three wars.
