Petrol price hiked by Rs 1.69 per Litre, Diesel by 50 Paise

Bhopal / New Delhi/ Nagpur / Kanpur, July 01 (ANI): Oil Companies have raised the petrol and diesel prices by Rs 1.69 and Rs. 0.50 per litre respectively. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) attributed the move to the rise in price of crude oil and forex market. Reacting over this, Food Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, said situation was beyond their control. Meanwhile, Congress leader, Manish Tewari, hit out at the central government. BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that Iraq crisis is responsible for the situation. Ahead of his maiden budget, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is grappling with a food inflation scare, and now faces the risk that higher oil prices could swell the government's subsidy bill. India proud developer of world's second largest telescope

Hyderabad, June 29 (ANI): World's second largest high-altitude telescope for detecting gamma ray emissions is ready to be transported from Hyderabad to Ladakh, where it will become operational by early 2016. Weighing 180 tonnes and mounted on six wheels, the Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Experiment (MACE) telescope has been developed and manufactured for the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai by the Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) in Hyderabad. Addressing the audience at the flagging off event, Secretary of Department of Atomic Energy and Chairman of Atomic Commission, R K Sinha, said it gave great pride for India to own this telescope. New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 251.07 points down to stand at 25,062.67. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 76.05 points down to stand at 7,493.20. Bosch and Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.74% and 4.83% along with Gujarat State Petronet Ltd. and Emami with an increase of 4.50% and 3.97% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation with a decrease of 5.89% and 4.68% along with Petronet LNG and HPCL with a decrease of 4.34% and 4.03% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 20.03 points at 15,280.35 while the banking sector is down 197.99 points at 17,261.72 and the realty sector is down 57.44 points at 2,039.31.
