Recently, Bangladesh's main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) refused a request from the prime minister to form an all-party government to oversee upcoming elections. While talking to a reporter in Dhaka, Ibrahim said that the leading parties represent two different ideologies and different parameters of success and failure. Commenting over the current political scenario, Ibrahim said that rivalry and anxiety among the various segments of people of Bangladesh can pose as a hindrance to the polls. Calling for an agreement, Ibrahim urged Hasina to hold a discussion with opposition with an aim to end the impasse. Nov 25, 2013
