Indian army hopes for better relations with China after joint military exercise

Guwahati, Nov 15 (ANI): Indian army is hopeful of an improved relationship with their Chinese counterparts as both sides concluded their ten-day long joint military exercise on Thursday. The joint exercise to combat terrorism took place in China's southwestern province of Chengdu. The Indian soldiers returned back to India on Thursday night. Interacting with the reporter, an army officer, D.S. Shisodiya said that he is satisfied with the training as both contingents had a 'nice' professional interaction. The joint training exercise between the two countries was one of the major bilateral defence cooperation and is third in the series which started in 2007. The first was held at Kuming, China in December 2007 while the second was held at Belgaum, India in November 2008. Nov 15, 2013

Chengdu, Nov 14 (ANI): Indian and Chinese soldiers wrapped up the anti-militancy exercise "Hand-in-Hand", which was held between two of the largest and well-equipped armed forces in the world. The training was organized in order to enhance bilateral ties during the session taking place in the south-western region of Chengdu in China. Lieutenant General, Anil Kumar Ahuja believes interaction between the two countries will definitely promote better understanding and better appreciation. A mixed group of at least 160 personnel each from the Indian and the Chinese sides participated in the drill.
