Madhya Pradesh: Woman delivers 10 stillborn babies

Rewa, Dec 17 (ANI): In an extremely rare case, a woman hailing from Satna village in Madhya Pradesh delivered dectuplets but all stillborn. The woman, Anju Kushwaha was being taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital, 125 km away in neighbouring Rewa district, after she went into labour but she delivered nine stillborn babies on the way and one in the hospital. The doctor attending her case, earlier said that on first examination of the patient the pregnancy appeared as eight months old. However, later it was found out that Kushwaha was undergoing treatment for infertility. Earlier in October, Kushwaha suffered a miscarriage, doctor said. Dec 17, 2013

Road accident kills seven in Gujarat

Anand, Dec 02 (ANI): A road accident killed seven people and injured several others after a vehicle carrying labourers collided with a truck in Gujarat on Monday. The accident took place when a truck collided with the vehicle on the Tarapur-Wataman highway in Anand district. The victims who were tribals belonged to Madhya Pradesh and had come to Gujarat in search of work. The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. Doctor, Jayant Joshiyara, said that the severely injured victims were shifted to another hospital. The dead included four men, three women while the injured included five children. Dec 2, 2013

Ghaziabad, Nov 27 (ANI): Convicted dentist couple, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar spent a sleepless night in prison after a CBI special court sentenced them to life imprisonment on Tuesday for murdering their 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and a servant five years ago, thus concluding a sensational trial on which public opinion remains sharply divided. The two-kilometre-long ‘Pink Ribbon Walk’ was organized by a state government’s organization on Sunday. Junior Trade Minister, D. Purandeswari, who flagged off the walk said that the country needs to do much more to curb and spread more awareness about breast cancer. Breast cancer, commonest cancer in urban India, accounts for about 30 percent of all cancers in women and around one-lakh cases of breast cancer are detected in India, every year.
