State administration felicitated for rescue work during Kashmir floods

Srinagar, Feb 23 (ANI): Individuals who showed exemplary courage and selfless service to rescue people during the Kashmir floods last year were felicitated in an award function in Srinagar. The function was organised by the NGO Athwaas Kashmir in collaboration with some corporate houses. People from state administration, health department, social welfare department and volunteers from civil society were given awards for their contribution during the floods during the function. Award was also given to the Shikara association for lending their boats for the rescue operations during the floods. Feb 23, 2015
