Chennai/ Bangalore, Nov 6 (ANI): Congress party suspects its break-away senior leader GK Vasan to forge with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Congress leader, Karti Chidambaram said that resignation of Vasan could have come in a bid to join BJP. Commenting on Vasan's resignation, Congress leader, Digvijay Singh said anyone who does not believe in the party's ideology is welcome to leave. Mayawati lashes out at incumbent UP government ahead of polls

Lucknow, Nov 05 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati, on Wednesday (November 05) lashed out at the incumbent government of Uttar Pradesh for its dismal law and order situation and also sought imposition of President's rule in the state. Mayawati was speaking ahead of the Rajya Sabha (upper house of the parliament) polls for 10 seats, scheduled to be held in Uttar Pradesh on November 20. She also said the government of Samajwadi Party was introducing schemes only on paper to divert attention from its inadequacies. Delhi Government formation: LG sends status report to MHA

New Delhi, Nov 4 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor (LG) Najeeb Jung on Tuesday sent a status report to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) over government formation in Delhi. Jung had held consultations with the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at the Raj Niwas to explore the possibility of government formation in Delhi on Monday. In the meeting, all the parties had expressed their inability to form the government in Delhi. JandK PDP hints at alliance with BJP post state polls

Jammu, Nov 03 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed hinted at alliance with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after polls. The five-phase polls in Jammu and Kashmir will begin November 25 and end on December 20. The results would be announced on December 23. Sayeed said he had worked with BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani in the past. Devendra Fadnavis takes oath as Maharashtra CM

Mumbai, Oct 31 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the 23rd Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Friday (October 31). The oath taking ceremony was held in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It was the first time that a Chief Minister's oath taking ceremony was being held in a stadium. BJP core committee members Eknath Khadse, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Vinod Tawde, Pankaja Munde, former Mumbai BJP president Prakash Mehta, Palghar district tribal leader Vishnu Sawra, and Chandrakant Patil also took oath as cabinet ministers. Speculations over alliance in Maharashtra remain intact

Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Kolkata, Oct 30 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday said it was not concerned about any party's support to them while forming government in Maharashtra as its former ally warns it to form alliance with any other party. In its editorial mouthpiece, 'Saamna', Shiv Sena warned BJP of forming government in Maharashtra with the support of NCP. BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said they were fine with any party's support. The BJP announced name of Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister on Tuesday and will stake claim to form the government on Friday. However, NCP Leader Majid Memon rubbished any significance of the editorial.
