Hyderabad, Sep 11 (ANI): Targeting Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, IandB Minister Prakash Javadekar addressing a media conference said on Thursday that he won't allow anyone to play havoc with the freedom of media. The statement came after Telangana CM threatened the media of burying 10 feet under the earth, if it insults Telangana. Director Gunasekhar’s dream project Rudramadevi, which has Anusha in the lead has finally completed shooting after two years of being on floor. Director Gunasekhar said that he was delighted that they've completed the project on time. He also added that they plan to release it in december. It is currently under post production stage which includes some 3d works. The periodic drama is the story of a fierce woman ruler of Kakatiya dynasty. Anushka is playing the titular role of 13 century Kakatiya queen Rudramadevi. She learnt sword fighting and horse riding for the role. "Fragrances of the Northeast" festival promotes films, food and craft of the region in capital Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 07 (ANI): The three-day long film festival at Siri Fort Auditorium complex in Delhi attracted a large crowd. Inaugurated by Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, the festival showcased eight films from the Northeast. They included Jhanu Barua's Assamese film Ajeyo and Pradip Kurbah's Khasi film Ri: A Homeland of Uncertainty. Several film personalities from the northeastern states were felicitated during the event. On the opening day, Assamese singer and composer Papon along with his band 'The East India Company' enthralled the audience. He sang a number of his hits in Assamese, Punjabi and Bollywood songs as well. Internationally-acclaimed Naga pianist and singer Nise Meruno and choir group "Nagaland Singing Ambassadors" also mesmerized the audiences with their dazzling performances. The festival also showcased an exhibition of handicrafts from the northeastern states. A painting exhibition organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi was also a part of the event. Sep 7, 2014

Will speed up CBI probe over rhino poaching, Zero-tolerance towards the same: Prakash Javadekar

Assam, Sep 06 (ANI): Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar took stock of animal poaching in Kaziranga National Park in Assam and said that strict action is needed to save the wildlife. Javadekar arrived in Assam for a two-day visit where he observed the measures to conserve the wildlife, existing infrastructure besides discussing about the rapid shrinking forest cover in the northeast region. Later, while addressing a news conference, Javadekar said that the ministry will speed up CBI probe over the issue and that they had zero tolerance over the same.
