New Motor Vehicle Bill to be discussed in next parliament session: Gadkari

New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways would initiate discussion on new Motor Vehicle Bill in the next session of the parliament. While addressing a gathering of mediapersons in New Delhi, Gadkari stressed upon the need to study the transport laws in developed countries and incorporate essential elements in the new Bill. Highlighting the fact that 64 percent of road accidents take place on state and national highways, Gadkari added it is the primary responsibility of the government to set up research think tanks and also rope in polytechnic institutes to prepare detailed project reports in order to study big and small problems in detail and address all of them to work out a solution. Mumbai, Aug 29 (ANI): Leading business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries along with a clutch of sports and Bollywood stars came together to launch a football championship that aims to popularise the game in the cricket-mad country. The tournament is being hailed as 'birth of a foot balling nation'. A host of celebrities from Bollywood and cricket world graced the occasion in Mumbai. Scheduled to start from October 12, Indian Super League (ISL) was officially launched by Ambani's wife Nita Ambani in the presence of Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and other co-owners of the eight franchises from across the country. Indian Super League would also feature Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan besides the sport's icon Sachin Tendulkar who are keenly associated with the sport.
