One dead as supporters of TMC and BJP clash in West Bengal

Birbhum, Dec 01 (ANI): A clash broke out between supporters of Trinamool Congress (TMC) party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal, killing one and injuring two others. The clash started over the issue of water supply in a paddy field in Baruipara village in Birbhum district. Police rushed to the area and started patrolling to check people from further conflicting. Earlier this month, TMC supporters had clashed with workers of BJP's youth wing in Jalpaiguri district after the BJP had called a 12-hour strike to support demands of tea garden employees for raising wages. Uttarakhand CM urges Modi govt to release funds for Clean Ganges mission

Rishikesh, Nov 30 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has demanded quick release of funds from the central government with the aim to expedite the country's ambitious project of clean Ganges mission. Rawat inaugurated the two-day WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) Summit on Saturday, on the banks of River Ganga to lay emphasis on the cleanliness drive. Addressing the inaugural session, Rawat said that maintaining sanctity and purity of River Ganga was a top priority of the state government. Opposition uniting to form 'unstable, corrupt govt' in Jharkhand: Amit Shah part - 2

Simdega, Nov 26 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Wednesday lashed out at the opposition parties in Jharkhand and accused them of forming an unstable and corrupt government in the state. While addressing a rally in Simdega ahead of the second phase of assembly elections he urged the people to vote for the BJP. Shah reminded them that Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the country's Prime Minister. The BJP president also used the occasion to taunt Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying the latter instead of pointing fingers towards the ruling party should reveal as to what the UPA did when it was in power at the Centre for ten years. Thanking the people of Jharkhand for supporting the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections, Shah said that his party will give a stable government to the state. Bombs hurled at BJP rally in West Bengal

Howrah, Nov 24 (ANI): Bombs were hurled at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally in Bandhaghat area of West Bengal's Howrah city. Two BJP workers who were reportedly injured by the bomb have been taken to the hospital. According to the media reports, the crude bomb was hurled during a clash between BJP and Trinamool Congress supporters. BJP's Howrah Unit Convener Sanjay Singh said that TMC workers were shouting slogans and disrupting the meeting that was being held in Bandhaghat.
