New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from international cricket after playing his 200th Test in the home series against the West Indies next month. 40-year-old Tendulkar, who has not been in the best of form in recent times, has informed the BCCI about his decision to quit Test cricket after a glorious career spanning 24 years. SC proposes 3-member panel for IPL spot-fixing scandal

New Delhi, Oct 7 (ANI): In a setback to N Srinivasan’s hopes of taking charge as BCCI president for a third term, the Supreme Court of India proposed a three-member panel to investigate the IPL spot-fixing scandal on Monday and extended the hearing of the case to Tuesday. The apex court today proposed that the new probe panel will be headed by former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mukul Mudgal, and will also consist of senior Supreme Court lawyers, L Nageshwar Rao and Nilesh Dutta. Meanwhile, a petitioner, Aditya Sinha, said to mediapersons that the Court has scrapped off the pleas to re-consider Srinivasan’s case. Oct 7, 2013
