New Delhi/ Agra, Dec 27 (ANI): Politicos condemned Bajrang Dal on Saturday as the group introduced 'bahu lao-beti bachao' campaign. Notwithstanding the controversy generated over the 'love jihad' and 'ghar wapsi', Bajrang Dal has announced 'bahu lao-beti bachao' campaign in Uttar Pradesh. Bajrang Dal state convenor Ajju Chauhan said that the "bahu lao-beti bachao" campaign will be a reply to "love jihad" and will seek to bring girls from Muslim or Christian communities as daughters-in-laws for Hindu families. Congress leader Rashid Alvi and SP's Naresh Agrawal condemned the central government and said that they have fallen short of issues and therefore are now trying to deviate from the topics. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi also slammed Modi government. Former SP leader Kamal Faruqui, however, said that these issues are making the promises of the prime minister faded thing. Dec 27, 2014

BJP celebrates as party breaks new grounds in J and K and Jharkhand

Dumka/ Kathua, Dec 24 (ANI): Celebrations erupted in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand after the results of five-phased assembly polls were announced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP made big electoral gains in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir and captured power in Jharkhand on Tuesday. BJP won 25 of 87 seats in Kashmir, its best showing ever in the Muslim-majority state, but still way short of a simple majority that it wanted to seize power. A huge crowd gathered in Kathua district to celebrate BJP's powerful show as they cheered upon the winning candidate from Basoli constituency, Lal Singh. The rest of the seats were shared by regional parties, the Congress party and independents. Meanwhile, voters in Jharkhand gave the BJP a clear majority winning 37 of 81 seats, potentially making it easier for Modi's government to kickstart mining projects urgently needed to reduce energy shortages. A member of Shiv Sena, Rajeev Tandon while protesting in Ludhiana city of Punjab, said Hindu organisations want the movie to be banned from playing in theatres. Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's 'PK', the most anticipated Bollywood film of the year, presents latest social cause - religion and the commercialisation of it. The movie also references the Hindu-Muslim divide, conversions, and rich godmen.
