New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday said that the government has decided to confer Bharat Ratna to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya. The Centre's announcement on Bharat Ratna awards comes a day ahead of the veteran BJP leader's birthday, which falls on December 25. Modi represents the 3,000-year-old riverside city of Varanasi and has taken personal responsibility for restoring Maa Ganga, or "Mother Ganges". Kher, best known for his soulful melodies and songs that have graced many a Bollywood chartbuster in the recent years, wielded a broom as part of cleanliness drive and urged others to join the mission. Politicos react after Omar says UPA should have awarded Vajpayee with Bharat Ratna

New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Monday after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that Congress-led UPA government should have conferred Bharat Ratna to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that he agreed with Abdullah's statement. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut also welcomed Abdullah's statement. However, he added that Abdullah should have thought about it when UPA was in power. New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha' wants to install Nathuram Godse's bust at public places in cities across India, national president Chandra Prakash Kaushik said on Friday. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, he said that he will write a letter to the central government asking for space. He added that if roads can be named after Aurangzeb who killed so many Hindus, why cant Godse's statues be not installed.
