J and K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hits out at opponents for demanding polls in flood hit state

Bandipora, Nov 22 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday hit out at his opponents for demanding elections in the state in wake of massive floods. Abdullah alleged that central ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), opposition Congress party and state's main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), didn't care for distressed people. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands of villages were devastated by the worst flooding in decades in the Kashmir valley. Roads in Srinagar, Kashmir's main city, were transformed into stagnant canals strewn with wreckage, trash and dead animals. Meanwhile, Abdullah also replied to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allegation that state government was enmeshed in corruption. Ramban, Nov 22 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Friday alleged that ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was spreading communal poison for electoral gains in poll-bound Jammu and Kashmir. Azad said that centuries-old communal harmony in the valley was under severe threat. Azad while addressing an election rally in Ramban town added that playing with people's emotions would be harmful for the country in the long run. BJP demands removal of tainted ministers from Karnataka cabinet

Bangalore, Nov 21 (ANI): The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested in Bangalore city, the IT hub of Karnataka, against the induction of four tainted ministers in the state cabinet. The protesters shouted slogans against the chief minister of the state, Siddaramaiah and demanded the immediate dismissal of tainted ministers. The protesters walked up to the Raj Bhawan (Governor's office) to meet the state Governor Vajubhai Vala and submit a memorandum to press their demand for the removal of the tainted ministers. However, the police put up barricades and did not let them in, following which, they sat down at the site and continued shouting slogans before finally leaving.
