Meerut/ New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Reactions pour in on Wednesday as BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj said that every Hindu woman should produce at least four kids. The BJP MP again stirred a hornet's nest by saying this and also mocking Muslim men for having four wives and 40 children. AIDWA General Secretary Jagmati Sangwan said that the BJP MP's remarks are against national population policy and that action must be initiated against him. New Delhi, Jan 05 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday condemned Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi after he said that Islam is the 'real home' of all religions in the world and hence the real 'home coming' will be when people of other religions embrace it. Owaisi had said that all are born as Muslim and are later converted to other religions. NCP leader Majid Memon said that Owaisi is making such statements for vote bank and should refrain from the same. JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that such statements by 'communal forces' harm the nation as a whole. Kolkata/ Lucknow/ Aurangabad, Jan 04 (ANI): Muslim community across India celebrated Mawlid or Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, with great fervour on Sunday. Muslims took out processions to mark the occasion, celebrated as the day of the birth of Muhammad, Islam's Prophet. Homes, mosques, shrines and seminaries are decked with flags, buntings and banners to welcome the day, considered to be among the most blessed in the Islamic calendar. In Lucknow city, residents thronged the streets to celebrate the festival. Tableaux and processions were the highlights of the occasion.
