Reactions come in as TMC demands withdrawal of PM's control over CBI

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): Reactions come in after Trinamool Congress demanded in Lok Sabha that the CBI's control be withdrawn from the Prime Minister and handed over to the Lokpal. BJP Spokesperson Nalin Kohli said that TMC should rather demand that justice be done to those who lost their money in the scam. NCP leader Majid Memon said that CBI should try and clean its image of a 'caged parrot'. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that the TMC should remember that they never questioned the CBI during the UPA government. BSE closes points 31.12 down on Dec 15

New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 31.12 points down to stand at 27,319.56. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 4.50 points down to stand at 8,219.60. MMTC and Sunrise Asian Limited were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 12.41% and 9.86% along with ATUL and JPINFRATEC with an increase of 8.26% and 7.73% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and JETAIRWAYS with a decrease 9.18% and 7.19% along with PIPAVAV DEFENCE AND OFFSHORE ENG LTD. and ABAN OFFSHORE LTD. with a decrease of 6.02% and 5.55% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 70.52 points at 18,603.98 while the banking sector is up 73.08 points at 21,048.29 and the reality sector is down 32.94 points at 1,557.43. Azam Khan says UP governor Ram Naik 'like Ayodhya temple priest', Politicos react

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Politicos react as Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan said that Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik is acting 'more like a priest of the Ayodhya temple than a governor'. Khan said this at a public gathering on Saturday in Amroha. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the statement given by the governor was not correct. NCP leader Majid Memon said that Khan is known for making such types of comment, but the governor also should refrain from making such statements on the issue. RJD leader Manoj Jha said that it is the responsibility of the governor to take care of the constitutional things. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that Azam Khan should try to avoid speaking in first place.
