Himachal Pradesh gets crime tracking system for effective policing

Shimla, Feb 12 (ANI): For effective and advanced policing system, a Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) was launched in Himachal Pradesh. The pilot project would not only help in data sharing with other states and countries, it would offer people-friendly services also like registering a complaint. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh launched the project in capital Shimla city. Around rupees 19 crore has been spent on this project and rupees 2200 is being incurred for it in the national level. The biennial air show and aviation exhibition - Aero India Aerospace Exposition - will see the participation of leading countries including US, Russia, France and UK. The exhibition will have 'Make in India' as its major theme and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Aero India show would highlight examples of technological advancement achieved by India through international cooperation. Uma Bharati bats for better flood management in northeast

Guwahati, Feb 07 (ANI): Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati said that better flood management system would be brought into place in Assam which suffers huge losses due to floods every year. Assam, comprising of the Brahmaputra Valley and the Barack river valleys, is prone to natural disasters with annual floods and frequent mild earthquakes. Speaking at the third Assam Water Resource Conference in Guwahati, Bharati called for judicial usage of available water resources for the development of the state. The two-day conference was inaugurated by Bharati along with Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Dr Jitendra and Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. Bharati, who has been championing the cause of cleaning river Ganges, said that the state's hydrological potential was not being used to the fullest. Feb 7, 2015

BSE closes points 11.86 down on Jan 28

New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 11.86 points down to stand at 29,559.18. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 3.80 points up to stand at 8,914.30. AJANTPHARM and TITAN were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 11.96% and 7.29% along with SUZLON and SHRIRAM TRANSPORT FINANCE CO.LTD with an increase of 6.96% and 5.53% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include REDINGTON (INDIA) LTD and GSFC with a decrease of 7.38% and 5.77% along with PERSISTENT SYSTEMS LTD and Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd with a decrease of 5.70% and 5.18% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 146.15 points at 20,209.63, while the banking sector is down 105.58 points at 23,406.18 and the reality sector is up 26.46 points at 1,718.83.
