Chennai, Aug 11 (ANI): Doctor discharged a Guinea returned native of Chennai in Tamil Nadu on finding him unaffected with Ebola virus. The 26-year-old Parthiban from Theni district was taken to the Rajiv Gandhi(RG) Government General Hospital immediately after he landed from the West African country. Regional Medical Officer at RG General Hospital Dr. Elango, confirmed that he has been allowed to return to his home town as the test results on his immunity showed no signs of infection. The Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Ministries of Home Affairs (immigration Department), External Affairs and Civil Aviation, is constantly tracking passengers arriving in India from the West African countries affected by Ebola. Man returning from guinea to India kept under observation for Ebola

Chennai, Aug 10 (ANI): A native of Tamil Nadu coming back from Guinea to Chennai has been kept under observation for Ebola virus, said a doctor on Sunday. The 26-year-old man from Theni district was taken to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital immediately after he landed from the West African country. His blood sample has been sent to Pune for test and the man has been kept in isolation ward till then. Child from war-torn Iraq gets new life by the help of Indian doctors

Gurgaon, Aug 10 (ANI): A child from war-torn Iraq got a new life with the efforts of Indian doctors. The13-year-old Iraqi boy was operated at a speciality hospital in Gurgaon. In June, Iraqi child Hayder Hamid Haloob was going with his family to their fields to cut the wheat crop on the outskirts of the holy city of Karbala — bordering the ISIS-controlled Jurf-Al-Sakhar area — when a landmine went off. The blast killed his uncle who was driving, and left his mother and aunt with shrapnel injuries in their arms and shoulders. Neuro Surgeon, Doctor Sandeep Vaish said that the child’s condition was very critical when he was brought from Iraq. At least 38 people died in plane crash in Iran

Tehran, Aug 10 (ANI): An Iranian passenger plane crashed on Sunday while taking off from an airport near the capital Tehran, killing at least 38 people onboard. According to state media, an Iran-140 Sepahan Air passenger plane bound for Tabas in northeast Iran with 48 passengers and crew on board crashed on a road near Tehran's Mehrabad airport. Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said that eight or nine had survived and quoted a doctor as saying that one of the injured had regained consciousness. Jaswant Singh in critical condition in RR Army Hospital post head injury

New Delhi, Aug 8 (ANI): Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi on Thursday, and is said to be in critical condition. A senior doctor at the hospital said that Singh has been operated upon for head injury. Singh reportedly slipped and grievously injured his head. According to reports, the former Union Minister was found unconscious around 11 pm at his residence last night. Senior BJP leader LK Advani visited the hospital to inquire about Jaswant Singh's welfare. The 76-year-old leader was expelled from the BJP earlier this year after he decided to contest the general elections from his home district Barmer in Rajasthan as an Independent candidate. Aug 8, 2014
