Chief of Kazakhstan Armed Forces receives Guard of Honour in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): Chief of armed forces of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Zhasuzakov Saken Adilkhanovich, who is on a six-day visit to India, received guard of honour in New Delhi on Monday. Adilkhanovich, who arrived in India on Sunday, was received by India's Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha before the ceremony. As per Indian embassy, inter-governmental commission was formed between India-Kazakhstan in 1992 and has been instrumental in developing bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technological, industrial and cultural cooperation. Huge cache of explosives recovered in Assam

Assam, Dec 7 (ANI): India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel recovered a huge quantity of explosives from Bokajan town in Assam. The explosives, including 86 packets of gelatin sticks, 30 packets of detonators, and 286 metres of cable wires, were seized from a bus which was coming from Shillong and was heading to Dimapur. The CRPF has arrested the two drivers of the buses and will conduct the further investigation to find out whether any militant outfit was indulged. Police rescue four mining officials abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand

Chaibasa, Dec 06 (ANI): Police rescued four mining officials, who were abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand, said a senior official. Deputy Directors of mines department, Bipin Bihari Satiyar, Saket Bharti, stenographer Mahanti Toppo and driver Nitai Chandra were kidnapped by Maoists in west Singhbhum district. Superintendent of Police, Narendra Kumar Singh said the abductees were found in forest, as rebels ran away due to police's fear. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s. Dec 6, 2014
