Indian truck drivers urge govt to resume cross border trade with Pak

Poonch, Jan 24 (ANI): Truck drivers in Kashmir urged the government to take steps to resume the cross-LoC (Line of Control) trade that has been suspended by Pakistan over the past few days in the disputed valley. Reportedly, the suspension was in retaliation to the arrest of a Pakistani truck driver, who was detained by the Indian security forces while allegedly trying to cross the border with 114 packets of brown sugar. Recently, Pakistan's Trade and Textile Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan attended the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation business leaders' meet in New Delhi on January 16, attempting to boost trade relations with India.
