Dhaka, June 26 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday highlighted the relations between Bangladesh and India post Indian Foreign Minister's visit to the neighbouring country. MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that Bangladesh has assured that it will not allow its territory to be used against India. He also said that the Indian Prime Minister has accepted the invitation extended by the Bangladesh PM to visit Bangladesh. Akbaruddin added that the External Affairs Minister personally handed over a letter by the Indian PM to Bangladesh's Prime Minister inviting her to visit India and chart her way to the bilateral talks between both nations. Sushma Swaraj meets Bangladesh PM, holds talks with counterpart in Dhaka

Dhaka, June 26 (ANI): Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj held talks with Bangladesh counterpart Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka, to bolster strategic partnership. Swaraj met Hasina to discuss key bilateral issues, after meeting Ali. The two foreign ministers discussed the Teesta water sharing and Land Boundary Agreement, and Swaraj also raised the issue of illegal immigration. The two leaders also discussed economic ties and cooperation. However, no major pacts or agreements are a part of the 'goodwill' visit, which is aimed at further enhancing relations between the South Asian neighbours. Indians walk to mark international anti-drug abuse day

New delhi, June 26 (ANI): Hundreds of people participated in a walkathon in New Delhi on Thursday to raise public awareness about the drug abuse and to mobilize support against illicit trafficking. United Nations General Assembly in 1987 decided to observe June 26 as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse. The organisers hoped the campaign would send out a strong message of positive health, fitness and well-being and encourage participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle and build a drug-free environment. Music bands of Indian Coast Guard also participated in the walkathon. Commandant, Indian Coast Guard, K. P. Kabul, June 19 (ANI): An Indian organisation gave amputees in Afghanistan a new lease of life by providing them with prosthetic limbs free of charge at a month-long camp in Kabul. A team of 25 artisans from Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) - non-government organisation (NGO) that designs and distributes prosthetic limbs free of charge - provided the victims of landmines and other war-related atrocities with the prosthetic limbs, which is popularly known as the Jaipur foot.
