Pakistan rejects India's conditions on dialogue process

Islamabad, Nov 07 (ANI): Pakistan rejected Indian Defence Minister's tough stance on dialogue, saying it does not accept conditions on composite dialogue with the arch rival. Answering a question about Arun Jaitley's statement that Pakistan had to decide whether they want to be in talks with the Indian government or the separatists, foreign ministry spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said dialogue with India is not a favour, but a necessity for peace and development in South Asia. A day earlier, Jaitley had drawn a "red line" and said Pakistan had to reconsider whether it wanted to speak to the Government of India or "to those who want to break India." Aslam said All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders were not separatists, but freedom fighters who are carrying out their movement from an occupied territory. Nov 7, 2014

Call for shutdown in Kashmir to protest killing of two youths by Army

Srinagar, Nov 5 (ANI): A separatist leader and chairman of the moderate faction of All Parties Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference (APHC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, called for a complete shutdown on Wednesday (November 05). The strike call comes in the wake of the killing of two youths by the Army in Budgam district on Monday evening, soon after which there was a complete shutdown in the region to protest the incident. Security personnel have been deployed in Srinagar to prevent any untoward incident. As per local media reports, two youths were killed in Army firing after they did not stop at check points in Budgam district. The Army had received information on the movement of militants in Budgam after which they set up three check points. The youths did not stop at any point, which led security personnel to fire at them. The ruling party in the state, National Conference (NC), condemned the incident and demanded probe into the matter. Pakistan Rakes Kashmir to Divert Attention from Internal Turmoil

Muzaffarabad, PoK, November 4th, 2014: Pakistan is facing an existential crisis in its Administration and Rule of the region under its de facto control, but rather than exercising introspection and correcting its ways, the Central Government in Islamabad is playing the age old diversionary tactics of divide and rule. Pakistan and its Government in Islamabad is once again ranting about Kashmir for the Muslim Majority Kashmiris, notwithstanding its misrule in PoK for many decades now, and diverting its youth away from gainful employment, and towards Militancy and Terrorism. It has once again raked the Kashmir issue with the United Nations, formally objecting to the recently announced State Assembly Elections in the State of Jammu and Kashmir in India, which is a clear indication and witness to the flourishing democratic process, and Rule of Law in India, and registered a large voter turnout. As part of its ongoing tactics, the Government in Islamabad is under immense pressure to divert its electorates, especially POK's attention away from internal civil turmoil, plummeting economy and terrorist-based violence, rising civil unrest in PoK, denial of equal rights and opportunities, muzzling of freedom of speech and expression, by raking up the issue of Kashmir.
