New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): On the day when the controversial monogrammed pinstripe suit which Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore during US President Barack Obama's visit, has reportedly been able to fetch at least Rs. 1 crore, the person who gifted Modi the suit said that PM Modi had already told him that he would auction the suit later. Ramesh Kumar Bhikabhai Virani said that he had gifted the suit to Modi on the occasion of his son's wedding. Calcutta HC grants bail to Rajat Majumdar in Saradha scam

Kolkata, Feb 16 (ANI): The Calcutta High Court on Monday granted bail to Trinamool Congress (TMC) vice-president Rajat Majumdar in connection with the Saradha chit-fund scam case. Majumdar, a former Director General of Police, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in September 2014 for his alleged involvement in the scam. Gulbarg fund case: SC stays arrest of Teesta Setalvad till Friday

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Social activist Teesta Setalvad's arrest on Thursday was stayed by the Supreme Court till Friday in the Gulbarg Society fund embezzlement case. Earlier on Thursday, activist Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in connection was rejected by the Gujarat High Court. Besides Setalwad, her husband Javed Anand, former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri's (who was killed in Gujarat during the 2002 riots) son Tanvir Jafri are accused of misappropriating funds. They are accused of misusing funds to the tune of Rs.1.51 crore. All the accused now face arrest. Denying any misuse of funds, Setalwad had blamed political motives behind the case, say reports.
