New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Congress leader Ajay Maken said on Sunday that Congress party demands an apology from AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal over his controversial statement that voters can take money from any party but vote only for AAP. Maken said that Congress will even file a complaint with the Election Commission as Kejriwal has violated the Model Code of Conduct for instigating the voters. New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): A fictional account of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's life by Spanish author finally hits the country's stores with the party mulling legal action if it found contents "objectionable". The book "Red Sari" by Javier Moro could not be released in India during opposition Congress party rule. The Congress said it would take legal action, if the contents of the book were found objectionable. Bharatiya Janata Party refused to comment on it. CPI leader Atul Anjan found nothing wrong with the publication of the book. The book traces Sonia's journey with information sourced from close friends and colleagues from her idyllic childhood to her passionate love affair with late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and chief of the Congress party. Huge cache of arms and ammunition seized in Kashmir

Poonch, Jan 15 (ANI): In a joint operation with Special Operations Group (SOG), local police in Jammu and Kashmir seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from Surankote town. The security personnel carried out the operation based on consistent inputs received over a period of three to four days. They recovered several magazines of bullets, grenades, binoculars etc. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Surankote, Ajay Sharma said that the tip-off also informed the security forces about suspected militant movement in the region. The operation was halted mid-way due to poor weather conditions. The security forces are likely to restart their search once the weather clears up as more arms and ammunition are believed to be hidden. Sharma added that the recovery of ammunition in such large numbers indicated that attempts were being made to revive militancy in the region. Jan 15, 2015

The Congress high command had on Tuesday, named party general secretary Ajay Maken as the head of party's 101-member campaign committee for the upcoming Assembly elections. Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit welcomed the decision and said that she will participate in the campaigning but had informed about not contesting the polls beforehand only.
