Artist couple from Nepal displayed etching, an intricate art form, in India

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Uma Shankar Shah and Seema Shah, an artist couple from Nepal exhibited their various etchings and oil paintings in Delhi depicting the cultural mix of Nepal and India. Their work reflects the impressions of Indian Mythology, Ramayan and Buddhism which comes out so well that it becomes difficult to distinguish between the two cultures. While Seema Shah comes from the ancient Indian city of Varanasi, Umashankar Shah is from the plains of Mahottari in Nepal. The artwork of both artists is well appreciated by the visitors. The artist couple from Nepal is looking for better exposure and appreciation in India. The exhibition titled 'Sacred Spaces' will continue at Shridharani Gallery at Triveni Kala Sangam till November 14. Nov 8, 2014

The audio launch event of 'Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham', starring Sai Dharam Tej and Regina Cassandra in the leads, has been held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Mega family heroes Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Naga Babu graced the event. Sai Dharam Tej, Regina, Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, Bunny Vasu, Harshith Reddy,Srivas, V.V.Vinayak, Anoop Rubens and many others were attended the event. Chiranjeevi launched the audio and V.V.Vinayak launched the theatrical trailer of the film. The romantic entertainer is produced by Allu Arvind under the two reputed banners Geetha Arts and Venkateshwara Creations. Kala Chana Ingredients Cooked kala chana Fresh grated Coconut Salt to taste Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp A pinch of Asafoetida powder Oil - 2 tbsp Green chilli - 1 chopped A few Curry leaves Lemon - 1/2 Method: 1. Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal and mustard seeds. 2. Once mustard seeds starts to splatter add green chilli, asafoetida powder and curry leaves. 3. Finally add cooked chana (while cooking the chana add little salt) to the tempered ingredients & mix it. 4. Add salt and fresh grated coconut other option you can add raw mango. 5. New Delhi, Sep 22 (ANI): Director General Indian Council for Cultural Relations Satish C. Mehta inaugurated the exhibition and calligraphy workshop during the 'Spirit of Delhi' event on Wednesday. The exhibition consists of paintings from the Lalit Kala Akademi's collection, photographs by the renowned photographer Padmashree Raghu Rai, poetry paintings by Abhay K and Tarshito, rare photographs from archives of Ambedkar University, Archaeological Survey of India, Delhi Archives, Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management, National Museum and Roli books. Artist Abhay Kumar's poetry combined with Italian artist's paintings creates an impressive art work. The poetry and paintings describe the seven cities of Delhi, their past living and the present through the monuments. "Fragrances of the Northeast" festival promotes films, food and craft of the region in capital Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 07 (ANI): The three-day long film festival at Siri Fort Auditorium complex in Delhi attracted a large crowd. Inaugurated by Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, the festival showcased eight films from the Northeast. They included Jhanu Barua's Assamese film Ajeyo and Pradip Kurbah's Khasi film Ri: A Homeland of Uncertainty. Several film personalities from the northeastern states were felicitated during the event. On the opening day, Assamese singer and composer Papon along with his band 'The East India Company' enthralled the audience. He sang a number of his hits in Assamese, Punjabi and Bollywood songs as well. Internationally-acclaimed Naga pianist and singer Nise Meruno and choir group "Nagaland Singing Ambassadors" also mesmerized the audiences with their dazzling performances. The festival also showcased an exhibition of handicrafts from the northeastern states. A painting exhibition organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi was also a part of the event. Sep 7, 2014

Man electrocuted while withdrawing money from ATM

New Delhi, Aug 2 (ANI): A man was electrocuted on Saturday while he was withdrawing money from a Union Bank ATM. The incident took place in Holambi Kala village on the outskirts of Delhi. The pole outside the ATM was exposed due to the rain leading to the electrocution.
